Touche to all who point out the mild case of OCD we Macrium users have. We do tend to equate backup to Macrium, like tissue to Kleenex, and Band Aids, etc. It's not a slight to any other product that works for you. Just habit on my (our) part.

Like many other members here I am a huge Macrium fan.
    It never ever failed me.
It's simple yet powerful software with an easy enough to understand interface that just does what's it's supposed to do: save your skin when in a pinch.

    Another 2 cents.

    Cheers guys,

Another Ex Acronis user here,Well for my 2 cents worth. I was a Acronis user for many years and it worked pretty well most of the time. Tech support was none extant meaning yes they did have tech support but none of the tech had any Idea how the program worked or how to fix it when it didn't. All this was good since Ghost was gone. In 2012 I got my first UEFI notebook. I made a drive image first thing and another one after I had most of my software and configuration set up. Then decided to restore a image to a new SSD. Well the image restored i thought great then tried to boot it up. As you know back in 2012 Acronis did not support UEFI or GPT Disk/SSD Tech support had no clue how to make it work. Some of the guys in their forum tried with me but that image never did boot. This is when I learned about Macrium Reflect Free Ver 5 I believe my first try I was able to Image my original Hard drive and restore it to my new SSD. I did continue using Acronis for 3 years after that each year they would advertise that they were UEFI GPT compatible but that just wasn't so. By 2015 I had moved all my computers to UEFI GPT so I paid for MR Ver 5 i believe which got upgraded to Ver 6. Since 2012 I have not had a failure to restore and boot. So this is why I always recommend Macrium Reflect Free or some other software that might work also. My biggest grip about Acronis was there lack of support for the product and not being able to quickly adapt to UEFI, 3 years I waited for them to catch up.
That was my experience too plus Acronis software was fiendishly difficult to remove at that time.

I am a Macrium user now but I used Acronis starting with ver 6 in 2005, and I updated every year that an update was available until I started using Macrium in 2018.

Though I was happy with Acronis I was impressed with Macrium’s ease of use, options, and accuracy of backups and restores.

Trying and changing to Macrium was due to the many positive reviews and comments available on this site.

    Thanks folks!

It uninstalls nice and clean now. I think I manually removed 4 keys in the registry after the Windows uninstall.

I recommend what I use. In this case I had several bad experiences with Acronis (I paid for 9. 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14) and tried several others, finally settling on Macrium. Never been sorry.

I will agree any backup software is better than none, which seems to be the case for a lot of standard, non-techie users.

Beaten this to death though, moving on (I hope).

Just wanted to add that my issue with Edge not showing/saving passwords is solved. After beating myself into submission, and wondering about MS's ability to fix my particular problem I found the solution.
Today while verifying once again that in my profile settings I was optioned to save passwords, and sign in automatically. Also verified that in Privacy and services/ Clear browsing data that on exit passwords would not be cleared.

I noticed an entry Privacy and services/Clear browsing data on close. Under that an entry Cookies and other site data which was optioned off. That was my issue. It's my fault to be sure, but it seems like there are 2 places to clear cookies. The old edge I thought only had 1 , Anyway egg on my face, and I hope my post might help somebody wrestling with the same issue.

Lol, on the subject of issues. . .

Does this ever "generate a report" like it used to, or does it just keep collecting data for 60 seconds... ?
