Does anyone with Pro edition version 2004 installed have Choose when updates are installed (i.e. defer feature updates for up to 365 days and defer quality updates for up to 30 days) at Settings, Windows Update, Advanced options?

Everyone I've heard from so far does not. I've checked the usual registry key and group policy causes without any success.

(edited to add Pro to the question; apologies for the omission.)

Under Windows Update you can select Pause updates for 7 days

If you select Advanced options you can then select Pause updates
You can then can select the date to pause to up to 35 days.
For example for May 31 you can select from June 1 to July 5.

Applications like Firefox and Edge started locking up again. Even shutting down the computer locked up. I had to hold down the power button to shut down. I have had enough of 2020 problems. I have gone back to 1909.

Yep, thanks. I have Pause, but many with Pro edition seem to have Defer missing. (I should have specified Pro initially.)

Yes. I can confirm that in a clean install of 2004, build 19041.264 using an ISO created by the MCT the 'Choose when updates are installed' section in Advanced options is missing. This may be due to rushing out the same build that was in the Insider Release Preview Ring.

Those options are deliberately disabled for Insider builds and it may have been left disabled in error for the RTM build. If so, MS should (eventually) fix it in a CU (as they did for the similar bug in 1903).

    Note   Note
If you have a Windows Insider build installed, this option will not be available in Settings.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

Pause is up to 35 days though, whereas it's always only 7 days for all Insider versions.

So version 2004 isn't like an Insider version for all Windows Update, Advanced options.

Well, I'm happy to report on one thing that went through the 2004 upgrade without batting an eyelid. File History just kept working and has made at least one backup since the upgrade (some previous feature updates required setting it up again to get it working).

I've also been getting a bunch of ESENT ID 642 errors.

Has anyone successfully installed 2004 on a Lenovo AMD-based PC, using Upgrade Assistant 9252 or WU?

Has anyone in the the UK been offered this update yet?

I've checked for updates on 4 different machines and no updates are showing so i'm guessing it hasn't been rolled out here yet.

Yes, on 2 machines. Both HP laptops so fairly common builds, one 10yo and the other 2yo.
