I wouldn't be too hasty to commit to that. mac will inevitably have to follow the trend
Hello Big Guy, as a OS X user, and a Mac user for going on thirty years there is and has been quiet talk of the Mac OS going in this direction for some time now. Mac OS X is coming to the end of its run, hence the talk of what Apple is going to do with the OS. Is it going to move to OS XI or go with a whole do name and theme. We of the OS X and Apple community are like the MS community waiting with baited breathe to see what direction Apple is going to go. . ., so you may want to take a wait and see position before making any major decision whether to move to a Mac.bigseb, post: 29570, member: 98 said:
Again, no commitment. Just pointing out that I will drop MS if they make my computing experience unpleasant.
I'm surprised they missed that catchy marketing name. Now that you've posted it we are probably doomed! How can they resist producing a Cloud OS named "Cloud 9" now? The cat is out of the bag.badrobot said:
Why? Is the Cloud 9 out yet?

I would just go back to Win 7 or stick with 8.1. I have never seen the need to upgrade my OS when a new version comes out.
If it goes to cloud, I will actually like Windows 8 better. That means more personal data selling, which many big companies may or may not do. At least by then I will be living in Korea that has 100mbps in most places so being cloud based would not be a problem in terms of speed, unless they only have servers in America, which means horrible ping.
There is information that on June 4 in the network will leak build of Windows 9: 6.4.97xx... from China.
