Microsoft will no longer release 32-bit (x86) Windows 10 to OEMs

I have many 32 bit programs does that mean they will all become UWP??

There's not really any detailed information on this yet, but it may be possible in time.

oh dear, my brain is only 32 bit, not sure that it can be upgraded.

Windows 10 should have only been 64-bit in the first place, IMO.
This is a good move.

To drop the ability to run 32 bit apps would be crazy. It would ensure Windows 10 would be a disaster. Want to know how many 32 bit apps you have installed? Just look under C:\Program Files (x86) and see all the applications.
I counted 64 programs in the x86 folder.

There are days I think my brain is only running in 16 bit mode.

It's the 32-bit OS they are talking about, not 32-bit apps. 64-bit Windows will always (I know) be able to run 32 bit apps.

Just be glad it hasn't slipped down to 12-bit or 8-bit.

Ms should have dropped x86 support a long time ago
Actually, Microsoft should have for OEM PCs back in the 65nm Core 2 era! Back in 2007, if the OEMs also agreed to install more RAM at that time, but they didn't, was commonly only 2 GB or 1 GB! Also, even back then, they should of had 5+ GB of RAM.
4 GB of RAM, might have been OK back in the Core 2 era, but it was borderline.
That's why people would have liked XP x64 Edition! RAM-usage-wise, it's what Vista should have been! Now, that would do well with only 1 GB of RAM.

If I come across my WinXP Pro x64 disk I may pull the HDD out of my WinXP Pro x86 machine and try it on a different drive, downside will be finding drivers, wasn't much available 'back then' when I built the computer.
