Just put my laptop to update, got both the cumulative update for .net and the insider preview. Is it bad if their both downloading and installing at the same time? Anyways gonna keep u guys posted after it’s all done.

After downloading at 100% and installing up to 24%, suddenly went back to downloading at 0% again.

installed with windows update, used 1.4GB space on C during update. 20 mins from shutdown to desktop. my SSD is from 2017.

the good: no programs&settings lost or reset. even my cracked DeepFreeze holding by thread, with 1 regedit key is alive.

    the bad:
    1. apparently, windows reset some of my registry tweaks. "Remove Extra Folders" from this PC tweak was reset to default.
    2. before this update I have hidden the Realtek audio driver 6.1.7620 "UPDATE" from 09.22.2015 with a diagnostic tool, it removed my "hide this update" setting and installed it again. had to revert back to 6.0.8924.1.
    3. My mouse, bluetooth and Samsung drivers were uninstalled. mouse and bluetooth installed on first boot. Samsung drivers are lost.
    4. Some of my Explorer UI visuals are reset, especially in Document.
    5. my "Disk Cleanup" selections are not transferred, they are not premarked.
    6. my Windows Search indexing settings were "Enhanced", now, it reverted to "Basic", and deleted all my exclusions.

overall: I love Manganese. I will keep editing and adding the stuff it didnt transfer correctly as I see them.

This one is not working well for me. It downloaded once did not like what I got for some reason and is downloading again but stuck at 6%. Just may hang it up for the night and try again in the morning.

Updated: Download percentage apparently was stuck. I rebooted and it began install. Everything looks good so far. Perthaps I just need to do Brink's WU clean-up.

Unfortunately what you saw is pretty much normal. Back when I joined the Technical Preview [renamed to Insider Preview later] there were warnings not to use the test version of the OS on the only computer or computer required for production [normal use] as there would be problems. What I have seen with Version Upgrades, [i.e. 1511, 1703, 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909] is custom settings get set back to their Defaults, sometimes even with Build updates. The idea is to test what would be rolled out as RTM [Released to Manufacture/Marketing] that everyone would get. Also talked about at the time was WaaS Windows as a Service that would be ever changing, so far twice-yearly Version Upgrades with periodic Build updates. The Builds are comparable to what we have become used to in Win7 and earlier known as Service Packs. I can believe that is not what you wanted to hear but that's just the way it is and by joining the IP group it what we anticipate happening which to that end is why I have separate IP computers from my others. And those computers have not cost me anything except my labor, have been rehabbed using parts cannibalized from others rather than putting in the landfill and I've given a few away for little to nothing.

Also happened to me again, the driver version always downgrades every new build.

Installed overnight, got stuck on a black screen, had to hard switch off, but installed and upgraded after restart.

Only issue, since previous update before this, MS Lifecam HD 3000 stopped working and is still not working in this update.

    USB device not recognised.
