Hopefully, a fix will be released along with the public release on rumored May 28.
    Nope! it won't be.
But I bet they'll have new icons, or something new with acrylic effects they're proud of

Or to be more precise, it is there for as long as you stay signed in, but as soon as you restart or sign out and back in it suffers from amnesia (2004 RP, 19041.264).
For me, it doesn't last nearly that long. Revisiting Optimize after just a few minutes always says, "Never run" (same build).

    Same here.
But as I stated earlier, it is run if one looks in event viewer logs.
For me, it's just an OCD thing when defragUI shows needs optimization.

Same here. I can run optimization, close the window, and open it again immediately and it's 'never run'.

Read the article. That is no longer true.
Read article, found out the settings were for weekly, changed it to monthly optimization. Thanks for the reply. Possibly saved time before drives were over optimized.

Not sure that scheduling is working on this build. It always shows as never optimised so I wouldn't risk it. Also even it you leave it at weekly it is clever enough to only do SSDs every 28 days.

Ah, ok. May have to wait until the next build then.
Yes Brink, I'm trying to figure out where last defragment date data is persisted. As it does not store the data between sessions. Difficult to track down the issue if you don't know where to look. ;-)
