Wow! That's one of the best "Chicken Little The Sky Is Falling" rag sheet articles I've seen in a while. Only thing missing is the update causes Global Warming and we're all going to melt.
Unfortunately it is true ..... continual reboots on my WU test (oldest system) computer , so I haven't let it on my others yet....admittedly it is an old i7-950 system that is 10 years old but , I'm not sure that is the issue since there isn't much info out there about the cause....

Yeah!. It seems other articles from different source are saying the same:

I wonder how many of them are simply quoting the same, inaccurate source?

That I would not know. Personally, I am not incurring any issues with this update but as you know there are millions of PCs out there with all sort of different hardware configuration, installed Apps, and printers with different types of drivers and so on...The old adage stands true: " There is no smoke without a fire".

Oh it was merely idle musing added to my inherent mistrust of (often) lazy journalists that put the thought in my head. And my PCs are all OK with this CU too.
You may of course be correct and don't forget that you can take a horse to water.......but a pencil must be lead"

As you know it is not the first time and certainly not the last that bugs have been reported after installing a CU or FU for that matter. Here is hoping that 2004 would be more user-friendly —knock on wood!

Would it matter if the vast majority didn't have issues? The article is sort of like going to a hospital and declaring the world is sick because the patients in the hospital are sick.

What and then locking the whole world down? Surely not!

Not really sure about the analogy made, because those who wrote these articles are very well aware that not everybody is having these issues.
