This also gives me problems from time to time on all computers whether hardwired or wifi to router.
I may have found the fix, will have to test on all machines. See 3rd reply in link below.

See the result of the DISM Component Store commands below after this update. It says one package is reclaimable but when I run the cleanup command it zips to 20% and then just drops out without doing anything.

    Code:

I used to use most of those. It's easier to have 1 app do the work of 4.
i dont think ccleaner misses anything, you can just change configuration for more cleaning options than default.

Do you happen to have the autopilot update installed?
this used to happen when an update have been installed and later removed from auto update, so it is no longer part of the update matrix cleanup or something, just like the autopilot update which has been reverted.

I don't know what Autopilot is so I probably don't have it. It doesn't appear in the search box or installed programs.

    Hi folks

all these 3rd party things for managing basic Windows system tasks IMO aren't the way to go these days -- not with current releases of W10 -- nothing wrong with those in the past but today --things like ccleaner, 3rd party Anti Virus software etc --totally unnecessary. (Note 3rd party applications are fine -- I'm referring to stuff handling basic Windows operating system - usually internal kernel type of stuff) tasks.

IMO especially with fast SSD's just take clean images before making major changes or installing whatever -- restore if the package(s) don't function correctly. A typical Windows system with even modest hardware can be backed up to an SSD in not much over 15 mins and restored similarly.

    Cheers

Actually searching windows update history might have this name, not in installed programs, as there it will have the KB ID.
Here is the thread about it:

Disappointing. They're withholding the program updates and releasing only the security updates. I have to earthly idea why or how it would affect anything if they offered real updates.

In my opinion, security updates should be done automatically in the background, just like an anti-virus program updates their definitions.

The 'Autopilot' update appears to have been issued mistakenly for most PCs. Try uninstalling it and you will probably find it isn't offered again for your configuration.

Why am I getting this update when my PC doesn't use Autopilot? Is this another MS debacle?
KB4532441 Cumulative update for Autopilot in Windows 10 1903 and 1909

Despite uninstalling it from my own machines that got it in error (thanks MS ) several still show lingering artefacts, in particular a message that "Your organisation manages your update settings" when updates are being installed.

Thanks for reminding me. I think I need a new brain. The issue this time is my desktop PC not my HP laptop.
