I sometimes telework from home on this machine so I shouldn't have tried it in the first place. I can't have it drop out in the middle of a transaction so its better safe than sorry. I ended up rolling my laptop back as well.

Thanks for everyone. I always come and read before deciding anything. I'll wait until the official release from MS, and hopefully they'll have everything worked out.

    Hi,

I'm not an insider. I've upgraded from 1909 to 2004 (UUPDump) for more than a week with no problems at all, except Comodo firewall which I had to reinstall, as usual, on every upgrade.

Easy and safe but boring. Nothing's changed...

I had updated a Dell XPS8700 to 2004 but experienced USB related issues. USB speeds became terrible. Macrium Reflect backups that would normally be a few minutes became more than an hour. With 2004 installed I saw my first ever Macrium backup fail to complete. Also connecting a camera to try and download photos using Windows Photo app also failed to complete. Restored 1909 and those issues disappeared.

I have now used Group Policy to halt install of 2004 until released for businesses.

Yes, it is hardware dependent. I too have decided to regress to 1909 until comes in May officially.

Installed 2004 as update of 1909.
At first look it seemed to be OK, but I have also trouble with USB speeds esp. with USB3.

Also normally I do a Disk cleanup right after an update, so all cumulative update files and the previous Windows build are removed. Files are removed OK and a lot of free disk space is back. But I noticed that all updates to version 207 are still listed in Settings | Update&Security | View update history.... Can't get rid of those entries anymore. They are useless since the update files themselves are gone and I cannot uninstall these updates anyhow. Must be another bug.

Going back to 1909, will skip 2004 all together until I read better reviews and these major bugs are eliminated.

So do I but this time I felt like I needed some time with the new software before doing it and boy am I glad that I postponed it.

It is a Catch-22, without an economy doctors hospitals can't be paid. The Government can't just keep printing money...
Fortunately, the (real) doctors and the (public) hospitals do not share that view, otherwise we would end up like dinosaurs...

I think, it is no coincidence that at this time, we are full of clowns pretending to be presidents, prime ministers etc.
