UPDATE 4/22: KB4558244 for Windows 10 Insider Preview Slow Build 19041.208 April 22

Hello Windows Insiders, today we’re releasing 20H1 Build 19041.207 (KB4550936 ) to Windows Insiders in the Slow ring. This Cumulative Update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:

    • We fixed an issue that causes the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service (rpcss.exe) to close unexpectedly and the device stops working. Then you must restart the device.
    • We fixed an issue that causes the Device Enrollment Status Page (ESP) on managed devices to stop responding if a policy that requires a restart is installed on the device.
    • We fixed an issue that might prevent the rear camera flash from functioning as expected on devices that have a rear camera.
    • It also includes the latest security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Kernel, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Media, Windows Shell, Windows Management, Windows Cloud Infrastructure, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Authentication, Windows Virtualization, Windows Core Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Update Stack, and the Microsoft JET Database Engine.

For more information about the resolved security vulnerabilities, please refer to the Security Update Guide.

    Known issues

    • We are aware Narrator and NVDA users that seek the latest release of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium may experience some difficulty when navigating and reading certain web content. Narrator, NVDA and the Edge teams are aware of these issues. Users of legacy Microsoft Edge will not be affected. NVAccess has released a NVDA 2019.3 that resolves the known issue with Edge.

    Thanks,
    BLB

Downloading now. Will report back if anything odd or interesting happens. These have been pretty routine lately. I'll be glad when 20H1/2004 comes out and we can all readjust and restart on new Insider stuff and status.

    PS added 30 mins later:
The OS hung at the end of the pre-boot restart, with black screen and spinning balls. I cycled power, after which it came up in the post reboot "working on updates" screen which it ran through to completion. Winver now shows version .207, so all is apparently well. Weird.

    Hi Guys...
I have two Latitudes and getting this in WU..
There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8000ffff)

Tried as many repair methods and scans, reboots and still the same, then I thouht another Cum Update may have resolved this, but no..

I tried manual download, but I use WinRar, can someone please explain simply what to do, what should I be using.
I am suffering slowly from the start of early dementia (my Doctor believes, but at the moment not doing any physical consultations because of COVID99) and I cant get my head around anything I find online.
I dont believe I have ever had this WU reject code before.
    Thanks to anyone who helps..
