    Error code at end of install 3 times even after two reboots. Should I worry?

    Two done, Pro PC OK, Home had an annoying get more out of Windows screen that I skipped, what's that supposed to be doing there when it's been on 1909 since last year? Other than that everything is normal.
    I untick these two;

    Mine have been un-ticked since day 1, but yesterday out of the clear blue, right after booting up my desktop Pro system, I got one of those "get more out of Windows screen"'s ????? and nothing has changed. Didn't see it this AM. Will be watching for it.

    Don’t have total trust in MS and their QA. However am pleased to report all seems ok in the aftermath. Rest easy for another month!

    Keep getting error code 0x800f0986. Tried running windows Update troubleshooter nothing wrong. Paused updates, rebooted, tried again still getting same error. I am no good with computers and need this machine to work from home. Everything is working ok in the meantime, but should I just leave it alone?

    Might be worth running Brink's update reset Reset Windows Update in Windows 10

    Thank you for responding but I’m afraid to run something like that while I have no other options for work if something goes haywire. I guess my question is should I just wait and see if this remedies itself or wait for the next CU?

    It depends on what the cause is. If your Windows Update is corrupted then waiting wan't solve it. On the other hand others are getting it to run by retrying.
