Yes I was. I really mean, WOW, what a scam.
Well, all I can say is that what we've been reading of late didn't come from Microsoft . . . I haven't found a single legitimate document that says there will be a Service Release 1. So, we've all been much ado about nothing . . . We were scammed all right, but it wasn't Microsoft doing the scamming. :)

I'm starting to think there won't be anything that is actually called SR1. It looks like we may be getting these "cumulative" updates on a weekly basis for a while.

I updated and everything seems the same. I also got updates for Office 2007, 16 updates in all.

I just noticed something different. When I highlight text to copy it, the highlighting is now red instead of blue.

Today was the August security updates.
I still think SR1 was the update KB3081424 we got last week.

Not so, Simrick. The reason I think it isn't is that a few days ago, Gabe Aul said the "cumulative update" doesn't have a name. :)

It's all much ado about nothing. :)

Well if it was I still can't rename a folder . A simple task with their latest Windows and I cannot rename a file and have to resort to a third party program. Rather annoying as is the black screens every time MS updates anything.

That's odd.. Did you mod/edit the registry in any way??

Sounds like you have a corrupted install, Gary. You shouldn't have all that many problems.

Why not use the Media Creation Tool and do an upgrade of your Windows 10? That might fix the problem.

I just went into my update history and I counted 17 new updates that were installed today. That is quite a bit.
Yes, that's what "cumulative" means, Rocky. I only got three updates, but probably there are a few gazillion of them inside the cumulative one.

No, and It worked before the last group of updates. Everything else works. XYplorer works great. Oh I did do the one that Brink Posted about setting rid of quick access but I went to an earlier image and it still did not work.
@Wynona I had more than 3 but most were for Office 2010.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081436)

This update has failed to install after four attempts. Three times via Windows update and once via the Windows catalog download. Anyone else having this issue?

Mine installed first try; Edge opens ok (but I have UAC turned on still), I can rename folders....

Guess I'll just have to look forward to this
