New Skype Insider Preview version 8.59.76.26 now available
- Sharing is caring! We have added the ability to share files directly from File Explorer to Skype. The feature is part of the context menu of each file.
- Improved call controls so you can end an ongoing call directly from your Recent Chat list. Moreover, you will see the call duration here.
- Too many contacts? We have improved our deletion function so you can even delete multiple contacts right from the contact list. Just use the Shift or Ctrl/Cmd buttons.
- Improved subscriptions searching for iOS - now on you can search for any available subscriptions
- Skype is starting in foreground when it set to start in the background

What differences are there in the preview version versus the latest version of Skype that I'm using? Anything thing of significance?

If I remember correctly there's no difference between store and desktop version. They are one and the same now....version number and looks. I could be wrong.

The store version does have its issues like not getting message notifications etfc. Perhaps the desktop version is the way to go.

New Skype Insider Preview version 8.59.76.26 now available

The latest Insider build 8.59 is out and we are bringing you some new features like an option to directly send files from File Explorer to Skype or the ability to control your calls from Recent Chat list. Plus some bug fixes, performance and stability improvements as usual.

The new features are rolling out gradually over the next couple of days so if you don’t see them right away, just check again soon!
