Well I'll be dipped! When did they bring that in? I love it. Now has everything I need to use it full time as my 2nd browser, behind Seamonkey Suite.
Thanks @Clintlgm
Think I will wait til it comes via windows update. I am sure I read horror stories of it duplicating favourites and pinned websites. And just basically messing it up with the sync when you have more than 1 pc. I hope I am wrong though! So it is likely to come in April then?
thanks, Wayne
How many people actually use all these tools?
I am a basic kind of guy, extensions, for ad blocking, maybe a youtube tool. But all this other stuff? does a browser need it? Immersive reading, hope it helps keep me awake.
Vertical tabs sounds pretty good, so I want to try it. Other than that probably not much I'll use. I don't use any extensions (yet).
Came to me via Windows Update a couple of days ago. Nothing bad, that I know of, has happened as a result of upgrading.
I'm liking how it displays web sites. I have a few sites I usually have to zoom to get readable text for my tired old eyes.
They all seem to fill my monitor just right with no impute from me.
All I want is a plain simple browser with a tool-database where I can get the tools and addons I want to use. Why do they make the browser bigger and bigger with so much "build in" tools, that allmost nobody uses them all? Make it a choise for the user!!
A clean, fast starting, browser, and a library where we can add all these ekstras we want to use.
It may be that the ones building it, actually use a lot of that "stuff" and think everybody else is or should be using it?
At this point in my life, I'm happy enough if it "just works". My pages render fast and I'm not being nagged about X feature, so I'm fine.
Call me complaisant but bloat in Windows is pretty well a given these days.
I have been using edge for a few days now. It's really just a better version of Chrome to me. I like the little things it has like having the favorites button available for the toolbar and the ability to clear it's history built in. I hate to say it but Microsoft has finally come up with a browser I really like!
I'm no programmer so I don't know how doable it is. Why don't the make all these features that most users will not use add-on extensions so the user can decide what they need?
