Ah, you peeps north of the equator just can't let us get stuff ahead of you

How are you coping, Wyn? We have been locked down for two weeks with at least another two to come.
I'm in Arkansas, Lin, and we've not been hit as hard as most of the US has. Still, we're not out of the woods yet. Things could go bad in a heartbeat, but I'm hoping not.

Our state is not in lockdown, but we are advised to stay inside . . . I have about 9 acres to run around on, with no neighbors on either side within a mile. Except for daughter's house, which is up the hill.

I order my groceries from Walmart, then pick 'em up when they're ready. Not sure how long it will take this time; last time I only had to wait about 24 hours.

Sounds like you are already well isolated, Wyn!

All the best to you and all site members.

I must say I completely disagree! I've got last two UEFI firmware updates through Windows Update, nothing could be easier and simpler. I really like the fact that HP is giving me firmware updates through Windows Update.

I stopped letting Windows install my drivers long ago (through a policy setting)--I only get firmware updates from the manufacturer of my motherboard, and driver updates from the manufacturers of my other components. Your situation is likely different as I gather you are referring to a laptop? Still, I won't do it that way...

For a minute there, I thought you stole my post! I fixed it (sort of) for ya.

I live in a house on my daughter and s-i-l's property. They're at the top of the hill, while I'm halfway down the hill.

Brave? Nope, with COVID 19 in full force, I don't think anyone would ignore the sign on my front door:

BEWARE --- COVID 19 PATIENT INSIDE.
