Thanks to all the good information shared here, I updated the RST drivers and have the correct version of the sofware from the store! Seems originally the RST driver was way out of date and Optane Memory was disabled with the new software from the store. I removed everything, installed the new driver, then installed the software and everything is working like it should again.

I noticed some stock apps are now updating from the store rather than from Windows Update. The 2004 update has come available on the new laptop but I think I will wait until more of the issues are resolved before installing it.

Is it really even imperative to update the driver? I dont really care about the IRST gui anyway. Plus, if you use exclusively NVME, cant you just disregard IRST drivers anyway?

What does the first post tell me about the driver? I don't care about bloatware useless software. Asking about the driver. Thanks

The newest RST driver is not necessarily the best choice - see Forum - Intel RST/RSTe Drivers (latest: v17.9.1.1009 WHQL/v6.2.2.1006 WHQL)
