I've never been a fan of Windows Universal Windows Platform UWP apps.

They tend to be buggy or scant in features.

Uhm, nice image Cliff? I asked if it will be updated to 17.9 through windows update, or do I need to wait for the mb manufacturer to provide it? The intel articles says the requirements are

• System must have Windows® 10 1803 or later. Admin privileges required.
• Intel® RST driver must be installed already (Version 17.2.x or later recommended)

But fails to mention if they can be distributed through windows update, unless I am completely missing the obvious, which is quite possible.

@Faith, if there is even an IRST/AHCI update update for your system depends on the CPU/chipset you have.
For my 9900K & Z370 chipset, current is the one on 1st post.
For my Lenovo with an Intel G3220/H81 chipset the latest is from 2015, and for my laptop with an Intel B960/HM65 chipset the most current IRST is from 2011.
