KB4551762 CU Win 10 v1903 build 18362.720 and v1909 build 18363.720 Win Update

Thanks All for the reply's, I guess I just have a bad laptop that was able to run win 7 but not win 10 without issues. I do appreciate all of you taking time to answer and Bree the Winver tip is much easier, still trying to learn Win 10 but might have to delay until I can afford a specific computer just to run Win 10.

One of my computers (kids laptop) is over 6yrs old and runs Win 10 fine. Kids only use it for games, school work. I think Win 10 will run on pretty old hardware. Theirs is a Dell also but a lot older than yours.

My own experience is very different. I upgraded 5 Win7 PCs to Win10 and two of them had so many issues they had to be restored to Win7. That's a 40% failure rate!

And yeah, I KNOW that does not reflect the industry in general -- but my point is that we can't generalize accurately regarding Win7 PCs and upgrading to Win10. Some of them will work well; some of them will not. Some of them, due to hardware for which there are no Win10 drivers, simply will not work -- I know because I have one of those.

Yes, if your Winver says 18362.720 then you are on 1903 and are fully up to date, and you can assume that your windows update is functioning normally.

Of my half dozen machines that run 1909 without issues only one was specifically built for Windows 10, another was built for Windows 8, and all the rest were Windows 7 machines, and none of those W7 PCs are supported or tested for W10 by their OEMs. The oldest is my System Two below, built in 2009.

I am keeping an Thinkpad T60 from 2007 alive with the latest Win10-updates. Old and slow, but runs and updates with no issues.....

Since last CU KB4551762 v1909 build 18363.720 I get this message on the banner of Settings up on the right.
It is weird because it doesn't disappear after I check for updates /normally Defender Antivirus/. Is this a bug and is anybody experiencing that?

I saw earlier this month a post from the previous CU .693 with the same issue but there were no any answer.
