5 of 6 1909 PC updates, no problems so far. Found a bunch of reclaimable packages in the componentstore, though, so ran a DISM /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup on most machines. Interesting: one of the reclaimable packages is persisting ( ... goes off to check another PC ... seems to be just that one PC ... even more interesting ... ) --Ed--
does this machine has the AutoPilot update that has been eventually removed?
Seems like it was the culprit in my case and when i manually removed it, no more reclaimable packages.

Are there any things you need to do before this update, like disconnect external drives?

Only if you are having error messages and cannot get the update to install successfully. Then you will have to investigate depending on the error message code.

Thanks. I'll update at the weekend when I have time in case of problems.

Resumed WU after the system image save, which immediately did a search for updates. The WMSRT & .NET updates downloaded in seconds. KB4540673 took a full ten minutes to download. The update process used a lot of system resources (CPU, memory, & disk) all during the update process. Windows Modules Installation Worker was at the top of the Task Manager list for the entire update. Installation was done after 50 minutes total and the system was sitting at restart pending. Restart was quick. So far, I don't see any issues, nor speed improvement.

Anyone else noticed that their settings menu of Windows has changed? :) I now have a fancy top banner with my account name, direct link to my OneDrive, Windows Update and Microsoft point status.

Must be the update that did this! :)
