    That can be avoided by changing the IndexerBackoff setting. Enable or Disable Indexer Backoff - TenForumsTutorials

    But reindexing still only remains great fun for approximately π/ꝏ times.

    I've disabled it, although 99% of my searching is done with Everything app. It will come in handy after a restore since all the indexes have to be redone. Thanks.

    the CU took an age to install..about 10 minutes. its usually v.quick.

    After the update I ran: sfc /scannow
    which found a bunch of integrity violations which it successfully repaired.
    Not sure if the update caused that?
