why break what is not broken? Win 10 was a great leap forward, at first, now they are messing with it. We get used to something, then its gone.

Can't stand and don't use tiles, they are all banished here, I use a PC not a tablet.![]()
They should let us choose. A live tile system or not. Personally I like them. I’m still bitter about the way they removed cards from cortana. I used to like clicking and getting various info. And now they are going to do this. Just slowly removing the very few things I liked about 10.
Exactly the same tiles that I have live! The only other one I have live is Tasks. For me, they're also the only ones I have set to medium sized (except for photos which is large and news which is wide). All my other tiles are small and grouped into categories. I love the tile system (at least how I have it set up); it's replaced the desktop icons for me, which I keep hidden so allowing me to enjoy my background images (on slideshow) unadulterated by intrusive icons. I'll be sad to see the live tiles go.![]()
yay i never use them i never go into that menu as i hate them.
I'm not bothered since I use Classic / Open Shell.
Won't miss them -- don't use them. Added Start8 when Win8 came out; switched to Start10 when Win10 came out. Don't want a SmartPhone UI on my desktop.
I use Open Shell (classic Shell), also. But this is not that the tiles are disappearing, just the "live" flip 'n update may go away. I agree with Scotty that some need to be left alone, like News, Weather...... anything that is truly dynamic, not static.
