    Mine too.
For me, last 2 bios updates was through WU and was automatically done.

Interesting. Never thought we would get BIOS updates by this route. Call me amazed.

Issue for me when dual booting. On the Windows insider tried updating firmware via the 'optional updates' and every boot it tried to install and failed but carried on to desktop then wanted a reboot and failing. So reloaded an image and flashed the bios via HP site on the 'normal' Windows. Insider still showing the update available and wrong driver date although under 'Firmware' shows correct version.

I don’t ever want MS updating my BIOS! They screw up enough with CU’s that are messed up.

Yea, worries me somewhat. If I update a BIOS I still keep my fingers crossed!!

Just been checking my update settings and can't find any optional settings or any mention of BIOS.

I remember the days of flashing the BIOS from a floppy disk, it was a case of keeping your fingers and legs crossed and hoping the floppy didn't fail.
As for doing it through Windows update, it would fill me with horror.

Agreed! So imagine with windows updates! I haven’t seen that yet nor in optional updates.
