@CountMike (and others encountering similar problems with MBAM and other 3rd pary A/V software).
on HOME Computers who needs MBAM or any of these 3rd party A/V things any more --a C20 solution looking for a C21 problem which doesn't really exist any more.
!!!! WD is more than sufficient on the new versions of Windows.
Most problems on these insider builds are IMO usually caused by 3rd party software --nothing wrong if you want to use 3rd party apps (apart from the loads of inefectual A/V software out there) but remember these are BETA / TEST builds --and if the kernel changes (which it probably does on these builds) you can't really expect 3rd party AV software to work 100% -- all these other suppliers will need time to organise their software given the new kernel and possible changes to the Windows API.
that's not a complete answer --the fact that the system is even aware of its existence could be a problem --presumably the OS is aware of a program or application or even a service --even if it's not started automatically or not even resident.

Aware of its existence.....yet not even resident?.....sounds gobbledegook to me.

OMG. What is up with this. Dencal can’t get pictures, search was broken, OneDrive is here, then gone. Strange problems that shouldn’t be cause these have been part of Windows since beginning.

Have finally sorted out the OneDrive and MY PC problems IE- Corrupt Scannow and Dism which rendered impossible to view Photos on My Computer or OneDrive.
The problem in my case being Net Framework 3.5.
Solved by opening Windows Features and turning on Net Framework 3.5
Clicking apply....this then installed.
Opened Control Panel...Admin tools....Services and changed Windows Update to Auto.
Restarted Computer where was prompted to sign in to OneDrive.
Now Scannow and Dism clear....Can now view Photos on both OneDrive and MY Computer.
Wow. After reading your post, I was dismayed, as Windows has refused to load .net Framework 3.5 for such a long time. But I just was able to load it as if there was never a problem. So this is very interesting that suddenly Windows allows this download.
