After living with these icons for several days I'm thinking that they should have existed on Windows 8, they don't belong on Windows 10.

I got the new icons with the mail and calendar update this morning. All updated ok. However if I search in my pc it finds the apps but displays the old icons still. Everywhere else, start menu, pinned the icons are updated . Anyone else notice or even have the same. Maybe it’ll update in time
Strange that the new icons have a blue background, seems an odd design choice.
I've got two machines here at home. Both have the latest Windows updates to 18363.657. One of the machines has the new blue Mail icon but the other still has the older white one. How come?
I am on old icons but I can set them to new look for months using StartisBack so they must have already been inside Windows
Not sure which I prefer TBH..
I think this happens with every windows app. I remember the same with legacy edge. The new edge works correctly because its a desktop app. Hopefully a fix for this soon.
The new icons look good, but consistency might become issue, especially on the start menu where the blue background overrides the system color choice.
The old icons were simple, but they blended nicely into the start menu.
These new icons, because of the bright blue background, don't blend in at all. They look ridiculous unless your start menu is a similar color. My guess is that they're going to change the start menu at some point in the near future to match.
I hate how Windows 10 always feels like an unfinished product.

These icons look too low definition. Thanks, but I'll provide my own.
