This has been going on for some time, and is more of a rant/complaint, but . . .

I have Firefox set as my default browser, but every time I try clicking on a link that goes to Microsoft anything, Edge pokes its ugly nose in where I've told it it doesn't belong!

For me, that's something I really, really don't like!

Anyone else seeing this or not, that their Windows 590mb Recovery Partition is shown as 100% free in Disk Manager? Maybe this is a side affect of doing upgrade.

    I don't have a 590MB partition, I have a 529MB partition.

I believe it is possible to uninstall Edge - maybe not I haven't tried

Check Default Programs in Control Panel.

Make sure Edge IS NOT set as default Web Browser and under Chose apps by filetype, make sure Edge IS NOT the default for .htm and .html, and under Chose default apps by Protocol, make sure Edge is default for only Microsoft Edge HTML Document.

MS used "microsoft-edge:https://example.com/" urls which get picked up by Windows and sent to Edge. I use a nifty utility on GitHub called EdgeDeflector to override this.

I don't really want to go to the extent of uninstalling, but I sure don't like its intrusive ways.

You can delete Edge and IE in the Add and Delete features area. I got rid of them a long, long time ago... And if you ever need either again, it's pretty easy to just pop back in there and add them back. But that totally solves their obtrusive behavior in the mean time. And it only takes like less than two minutes to do this in either direction.

I don't have either of them in the Add and Delete features area.
