[Note added 20.5 hrs later]I was kinda miffed that I had to reboot TWICE: once after the .NET rollup and once again after the CU. On several machines the CU didn't show up until after I'd dealt with the .NET rollup; on several other machines both showed up together. Strange.

Install went fine except my icon images are gone. ie my computer, recycle bin. Only the test is there. Happened in the past but can't remember how I corrected it
At this point, you can try an in-place upgrade (Repair Install) and see what gives. I would not advise for a clean install, because that would be an arduous and tenuous job to be done on five machines.
I just installed the update through the normal update manager on 2 different computers without any problems and all is working well on 2 computers.
Was on 18363.592, both updates to 18363.628 without issue.
Noticed the last couple of updates, MS has a need to post a nag message about my active hours. I have them set for 1-2am in the morning and MS is wanting to change them to 10am-9pm so that "We won't restart for updates during this time." This is just my home computer with no business etc to interrupt etc. If there is an update, I want a restart to happen without waiting until after 9pm. Seems like Manual [Restart] overrides this after hour nonsense?I might be reading to much into this but???
Windows tracks your use. Seems you hardly ever use it between 1-2am, so it wants to change active hour to match the times you do use it and prevent an automatic restart in those hours. I have the opposite problem, my active hours are set for 9am to 9pm, but machines I use irregularly want to change it to some odd time in the middle of the night.
About the only way to get rid of the nag is to let it change active hours, then set it back to how you want it. Or you could just ignore it, nothing will change unless you click 'Turn on'.
Remember, active hours are supposed to set when it won't restart. Your 1-2am seems an odd choice for active hours, you seem to be telling Windows it's free to restart at any time during the working day.
Seems the Explorer issue isn't quite fixed or they introduced more bugs to it with this update if this twitter is to be believed.
