. . .Please don't get me wrong, albeit after reading the past ten post I am confused. . .I am wondering why it is that so called Geeks fine it necessary to post that the average person has no idea on how to use a computer regardless of the OS. . .also wondering what makes of the average user. Maybe the average user is someone like me who has had three strokes, thus has problems remembering how to do even the simple things on his computers. . .just wondering. . .
I'm not a certified geek per say but i consider the average user like my parents who not only show zero interest in computer tech but also have a laid back attitude about computer security and if their machine gets infected it's not their problem.

There are tons of people in that category .

I would like to but believe it or not i am the one who is the tech guru (LOL, what a joke) in the family and relatives etc... are about to install this OS and i got to learn it and show them how.

Tried Linux, way too complicated for me .
If you never used Windows 8 or 8.1 then Windows 10 is like starting over again. I like it, it is way faster than 7 and is great for gaming.

My wife has been using Vista for years and just a few weeks ago, she asked me where the Start Button was. That is how most users that were not involved in Technology are. I understand what Lee is saying but the average user is one that would never even find this forum.

Bingo , thats exactly right . I put Seven forums and Bleeping computer tutorial sections on the start page of my fathers computer and told him to use it to fix any problems he has , he honestly doesn't know they are even there lol.

I like it but it is not faster than 7 from what I can see, especially when you have to wait for your hard drives to wake up when you want to save/access a file. My gaming experience is a mixed bag and I constantly switch back to 7 for gaming.

It takes quite a bit more time to wake up and shut down unfortunately , seems when you shut down for update installs the spinning circle just goes on and on until updates start to install lol.
