Well this new EDGE Chrome Browser STILL has an issue with Favorites.

Sorry I have not read all 40+ pages in thread....

IF I use this Browser on 3 separate W10 PC's and SYNCING on the exact SAME MS Email Account (Sync is on).
Does this Sync the same Favs or like Google does, NO it Syncs the same Favorites But DUPLICATES the exact same Bookmarks/Favorite as 3 Sets of, it does not merge them.
ONE Sync Account should ONLY have one Complete Set of Favorites for ALL Devices which is signed into the exact same Email Account, like Google does, you add a new Bookmark/Fav on 1 PC it should SYNC that on the other 2 PCs not make/list 3 separate exact same Favs on all 3 PC's.
You Delete a Favorite Sync should delete that on all PC's connected to same email account, but no ONLY Deletes Fav on the PC you delete it on.
What is the point of Sync...?
I have Favs in separate Folders with own Titles and Bookmarks within each Folder, so again SYNC Duplicates these Folders 3 Times if on 3 PC's or 6 times IF I had this on 6 separate PC's on same email account for Sync.

So over 3 test PC's on the same Email Account I get 3 Sets of the exact Same Favorites (URLs)...Just GREAT M$.

Same applies IF I Export 'a' Favs File from 1 PC and then Import to another PC on the exact same email Sync account, it wont SYNC and Merge Favs, no it just Syncs and Duplicates or Triplicates the exact same Fav/Bookmark/URLs or Folders over the 3 Test PCs.

Oh yeah, IF you Right Click and 'SORT BY NAME' in Favorites Manager, it will Sort Favs/Bookmarks in Name Order perfectly, BUT when you restart Browser Favs revert back to previous Position Out Of Order.

I was told that M$ was completely re-writing/coding their Sync System over a year ago....what happened.?

I just can not understand how such BASIC stuff Never Changes with MS, what the heck do they do with Updates over the past year?

Anyone else seeing this...as this issue has been there right from the start Even in Canary.

Well, I'm sure I'll get as frustrated as the rest of you but, I am still ecstatic that the darn browser can finally remember where it was and what size it was when I reopen it
That has been enough to keep me from using it. As a side note, my favorites have swelled over the last twenty years to unfathomable yet organized by my rules alone. So I haven't imported them to Chromium edge, nor will I after reading this.

Still a lot of work for MS , if I ever going to use this Edge !
Strange , I find my Legacy Edge much better then this "new stable (??) " Edge ...........looks much better , not slower then the new Edge !
In the new Edge my favorites are covering almost the whole screen ( when opening favorites ) , in Legacy , much smaller , not covering the whole screen . In the Legacy I can easily switch to IE11 and back , in the new Edge not possible anymore , I think this is a big failure of new Edge !!

Had exactly the same issue between 5 machines, all is working as expected after cleaning up each and every one individually and manually aligning synchronicity. And I have hundreds of Favorites in many folders/subfolders. It may also help to delete the machines form your MS account, this should clean up all the mess that OneDrive /SkyDrive co-created since win8.0. The entries will be recreated afresh when you log back on. Also make sure you clean out/remove all the Favourites entries in C:\Users\YourUsername\Favourites as they used to sync to the MS account too (these are the i.E Favorites entries).
Once all cleaned up you can export to html and re-import into I.E. if needed.

I installed the new Edge in Windows and Android without any problems --- so far. I like it, but then a liked Edge from the start and have been OK with it being my default, especially for downloading Windows programs / apps. This is with a small storage 2-in-1 Tablet PC, with which I don't have many updating issues as long as I have enough free storage.

One question, is there any way to reverse the order of saved Favourites / Bookmarks, that is to have the latest first in the list? I have a Favourites manager program, but it does not do this.

At this moment only Sorting by Name seems to be implemented.
