Beta, Dev, and Canary are stand alone and whenever you go to Settings - About Microsoft Edge it will auto check for updates and install new updates if found.

When Edge was released through WU it replaced the old Edge and took over any shortcuts but updates come through Settings - About Microsoft Edge

While I updated Edge with the newest version, and have used Beta and Canary with very good results and hardly any problems, I'm going to spend some time with Firefox Nightly. It's been a long time since I have, just for something different.

    Thank-you. I just manually updated.

If I had not seen your post, would Edge have updated itself eventually?

Why would Edge Update without providing a link to a Change-log?

Is there a Change-log online somewhere?

Edge added some useful new features when it became Chromium-based, but also removed two that I use frequently. (Both Printing related.) Hopefully they are restored soon.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can direct me to an Edge update log.

Yes, just received it here as well
How are you all getting this stable build today? I got it on January 15 itself. I never used it since then until today to check for its update and found it is on the same build that you are all getting today.

You don't have to have it running for it to update itself. There is a separate update task that runs once an hour.

What's weird is that the beta didn't update itself to the release.
