I didn't have to do anything to get IE11. I just searched for it and ran it as a stand alone. BUT, it doesn't run properly on some sites. My bank says I need it to access all features. Well, when I go the bank log in screen they want to know how I want to do 2-step log-in. I can chose my phone #, but the exit from that page is missing on IE. The page is also unstable. I have advised the bank, but not holding my breath to get this fixed.
I tried using it to get to my Dlink Camera setup site. Again it worked in part, but not fully like it did under Win7.
Hoping Dlink will get their act together. They do have a good phone app, so I use that.
I may have already posted this, but my wife has old Edge and there IE in integrated.
Can anyone tell me please how do I stop Edge downloads, I want to keep my Internet Download Manager, please I would appreciate any help at all, Thanks.
It takes a registry tweak, here we go:
Disable Installation of Microsoft Edge by Windows Update in Windows 10
Oh, I forgot to mention to backup the registry or make a system image backup before tinkering around with the registry.
Yes mate I have it, but everytime I download anything it is Edge who is doing it, its over riding IDM, I want IDM to do the downloads. I have enabled all the settings to use IDM but Edge keeps downloading it, anyone know how to force Edge to use IDM please.
