Why is this thing updating so damn much? I thought it was every 6 weeks, I'm just going to uninstall it if I'm going to keep getting patchnote-less updates every two days...

When it gets updated, and you start the browser, it leads you straight to the patch note, at least on Dev channel I can confirm this.

What's weird is that the beta didn't update itself to the release.

It's like Chrome, it's a separate channel, it never updates to release.

Every six weeks is the major update cycle. It can update for other reasons at any time. There has just been a release of Flash, maybe that's the reason for this update.

Release, Beta, Dev, and Canary are on different channels and have their own update versions.

IE can't really be fully uninstalled either as it is embedded in the OS.
Good because many old programs like MS Money which I still use rely on IE for their operation

I hope they address that at some point.
I certainly don't since some old programs rely on IE

One of the problems is that there are apps such as the last UK version of Microsoft Money that use IE.
What Microsoft should do is release a new version of Money for the UK that use a windows interface not the IE one.
Fully supported - MS Money was one of the best software products ever made by MS. Money does work under a VM XP machine or you could install XP on an old PC to continue using Money.

Because early adopters like many posting here are viewed as beta testers by MS. I've blocked Edge Chromium for a while until it settles down.

Maybe answered before, I didn't go through all 30 pages. But why did they go with an open source platform like chromium?
