Downloaded the new Edge Chrome...it replaced my old edge installation...imported passwords and url history from Firefox...it's running well...

Only one problem i am experiencing...I went to the Chrome Extensions page and tried to add the "font rendering enhancer" extension and it did not install...just brings me to the "download chrome" web page... Anyone else having a problem with installing extensions?

Where it says at the beginning of intro ( When you install Microsoft Edge on an up-to-date Windows 10 device, it will replace the previous (legacy) version on your device.) Does this mean it will remove old Edge and win explorer 11 or just Edge

I just did it in a VM. It removed old Edge and installed new Edge. No office apps installed. A link to Office.com, which I removed.

See my pic I just posted. Taskbar icons: New Edge and IE11.

And runs parallel with Edge Beta.

I found the solution! I went to the extensions in edge and noticed that downloading from other stores (other than microsoft) had been turned off by default...All i had to do was turn it on and go back to the chrome extension store web page and immediately able to install the chrome extension...

Went okay. Dark mode set and an ad blocker extension installed fine from the chrome web store.

    Hi folks

IMO -- what we used to call a W.O.S (politely !!) or others might call it WPOS --what a pile of S--T.

    Waste of space !!!

Who in their right minds would even THINK of using Edge as their basic browser when there are so many better alternatives --no matter what OS you use.

Ms might be getting the Windows OS sort of OK and the security as well but they are still LIGHT YEARS behind in sensible browsers.

    Cheers

That's the only way I will touch it now too. Doesn't make you a chicken.

Well that was interesting. Somehow I managed to download and install a Dutch language version. MR to the rescue. I think I'll leave it until MS sorts it out.
