    BTW, my specs are completely different, this is an intel/nvidia desktop. Do you have any unusuall software installed in windows?
    Thanks for the tip, but I will wait for the next build. I don't have anything that could compromise the installation or upgrading. Same for 5 years.

    I have tried upgrade-installing on this system, to the following versions: 18363.592, also 19035, and 19041, all failed with exact same place and message as @MikeMecanic, safe os boot phase. Something is faulty with their current boot code., at least for my OS, 1909.

    10 days of radio silence on this broken build/cumulative update or whatever it was.

    Can't update with an ISO, can't do a clean install, and running any sort of DISM commands on it once updated renders it unbootable.

    Really surprised that they would break the slow ring and then not push out a fix at least by the following week.

    peace

    Hi folks

    UUPDUMP always works (at least on my machines) -- when I tried for a change via Windows update it just sticks at downloading 0% and never does anything further !!!!!!. i've oodles of fast SSD disk space, RAM, decent machine and fast internet so I know it's nothing so far wrong with my system. I[ve no block / restriced hours for updates and I haven't paused them. Windows also is activated properly so I can't think of any reason why it's stalling on the Download process --never mind actually trying to do the update itself !!!!!

    I can probably finish the whole thing via UUPDUMP in about 10 mins !!!!!

    Ms need to get their update thing working properly if it's to inspire any confidence of their users.

    Cheers

    Hi there

    @Josey Wales

    Decided to do it again via UUPDUMP -- worked as I said in around 8 Mins (excluding time of course to download UUPDUMP script and create the ISO).

    BTW love the guitaar --although I'm much more of a "Classical Piano player" All music if done competantly can be good though. --I love grabbing those "Free Piano slots" at London's St.Pancras train station ( Eurostar International train terminal for London->Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam Cologne etc via ChannelTunnel --Beats flying for those sorts of trips !!!). There's a load of Free Pianos there for the public to play --great atmosphere -even Elton John played there. !!!

    I have thought of using UUPDUMP from now on for major build upgrades as chances of failure are quite less through it.

    Hi there

    @Josey Wales

    If I'm in USA again soon --Love to see you on a Jam session / -The "Sleazier the bar --the better !!!!" --- Modern Corporate / Glass / minimilsitic things OK for Millenials but anybody who likes a bit of sex, old type areas typically interesting "Village like quarters", and old fashioned "Comfort" --forget it.

    I must say though some people in Boston and NY are still trying to preserve against all the odds the old neighbourhoods -- Nobody visits "Corporate central" stuff at weekends etc -- we like OLD fasioned places with a bit of "Sex, Sleaze and Sin" !!!

    Cheers
