If what the article suggests is true, it sounds like M$ is still making changes just for change's sake. What purpose would moving the task bar to the top of the screen serve? Better would be to allow users to put it where they want (I favor the left side myself).
I just think it's speculation on the part of the author of the article. No more, no less.
Until an alpha/beta comes out of Windows 9 no one will really know what it will really look like. IMO...

I am afraid with M$ so tight lipped that is all we are going to get until April, I do not expect much then either.

Lots of rumors floating around. One I heard was Microsoft was going to switch to Roman Numerals when naming their OS. Windows 9 would be IX and Windows 10 would be OS X.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm/! the fruit company might have a little something to say about that as they did when Microsoft went to the GUI back in the 3.xx days. . .

While I doubt it, it would be following the current trend, such as Acrobat X and XI, and Mac's OSX. Win IX and Win X would fit right in.
