After using both 19041.1 and 19541.1000 The later is a far superior build.
Basic Arch (the standard one) is a very small download of the order of 650 Mb. - that's the whole point of it --install just the basic system and unlike most other distros the user has to decide on everything to install themselves - so you can add whatever themes etc you like.
Arch Linux - Downloads
If doing everything initially in command mode (you can install a GUI after the basic system is installed) fazes one a bit then there is a GUI installer called Revenge installer for those that want to have a go via the more traditional install route.
This latest Windows build is stable (at least on my machine) and works extremely well as a VM as I've pointed out - pci passthru means you can also use real hardware like video capturing hardware etc at "bare Metal" performance too if you choose the right "Virtualisation platforms".
Not sure what Ms has left to do internally on Windows for the future -- instead of making superficial changes to skins and the GUI what not concentrate on the following
1) Improve HYPER-V so you can get near "bare Metal performance" and make networking, USB re-direction --i.e hot plugging-- and pci passthru on it easier too.
2) Enable HYPER-V not to cause other HYPERVISORS to fail e.g VMWARE. If VMWare WKS can run VM's concurrently with VM's on the QEMU/HYPERVISOR it should be possible for Ms to do it -- after alll if an open source platform like Arch Linux can make it work it shouldn't be impossible for Ms to do it.
3) strip Windows of all unnecessary bloat ware pre-installed
4) on Standard (retail) versions don't auto collect statistics -- voluntary choice if need be -- I don't care about this on insider / test builds as these are tests and feedback on these are surely important.
5) Untangle IE11 modules from the Windows browse file api so we can get rid of IE11 and the 266 path / folder/file length restriction on windowed file browsers using the api.
Windows and apps using windows file explorer api:
Linux Api:
6) get Networking to function properly OOB Every time so "even idiots can make it work"
7) If Edge is to compete with other browsers - especially Firefix and Chrome PLEASE BRING BACK MENUS --we aren't on MOBILE PHONES here on W10.

Regarding 7, there's an extension in Chrome Web Store that can be used in Edge Chromium.
Microsoft has already made it quite clear that its goal is to attract Chrome users, Microsoft is not interested in the users of other browsers, and in Chrome there is no menu bar, so Microsoft has no plans to add a menu bar (with which some people are obsessed with) to the new Edge, Chrome has almost 70% of the browser market (that's Microsoft's target) and that 70% of users (including me) are totally accustomed to using the browser without a menu bar.
Hi folks
Browsers are an individual choice - but Chrome is so allied to Google -- and whether you like it or not so much data is collected by google and who knows what they do with it. A lot of chrome users are browsing on Mobiles and tablets so the statistic on Chrome usage is not very informative unless it were to specify % by type of device.
Loads of people like menus on computers for all sorts of reasons -- imagine a large 4 monitor set running say some engineering CAD 3D "exploded" diagrams or some stock exchange trading with innumerable options . How on earth would you handle this type of stuff without some form of decent cascading level menus !!!
No probs in having full screen etc for playing video and that type of app -- but give users a choice.
BTW just installed this release again as another VM from the ISO (UUPDUMP) on a KVM/QEMU VM.
Total time from start to finish : 7 Mins (from booting up the VM from the ISO). The longest wretched bit was actually answering those endless stupid questions at first boot and as for those rediculous security questions !!!.
(Note this was just base W10 before installing any applications such as Office etc)
I'm reasonably happy with this one so far !!!!!¬ --amazed when people seem to say it takes a long time to install --especially if I can create and install it as a VM in 7 Mins !!!!! -- on older hardware -- OK MOBO did have 4X physical XEON processors in it !!!! - although Old ones and host capable of using all 4.
Cheers
