Optional updates only include drivers, none of which I need.

Will the meida creation tool actually work to upgrade this time, or will it be for clean installs only like 1903 was.....guess I'll find out.

It's available via the media creation tool. It's the right version but the sight says May. I got it and here's what it shows.

    Attachment 254630
    Build 18362 is 1903. 18363 is 1909

I had previously dropped out of the Insider builds. I was at 18363.449. (I did the updates from the KB releases, not by Windows Update.) I got 18363.476 from Windows Update this morning.

The Slow ring seems to have switched over to a build of 20H1. You may wish to drop out of the Insider program if you don't want to have that installed.
I had picked up 18363 three weeks ago or so as a Release Preview ring Insider. I, too, was up to .449. A couple of weeks ago, I selected the option to 'stop receiving flights when the final version is released' (or something like that). A couple of days later, I checked my Insider settings, and I was no longer an Insider - that's when I knew I had the goods, that the switch had been thrown for the 1909 release. I checked WinVer, and sure enough, I was at 1909.

Today, I got the MST and the CU, that brought me up to .476, and it's back to 'normal' for a few months - as normal as MS and Win10 ever are

    KB4524570 CU Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.476 and v1909 build 18363.476

Installed in few mins and nothing look different or popped up on restart to tell me whats new and I did not need fix some of my programs like I normally do after an upgrade.

I'm working on a client's laptop, did the Nov update and after restart Windows Update displayed a message 1909 was available. I'm downloading it now on the laptop.

I checked for updates on my 1903 Pro desktop and "I'm up to date" but no 1909 offering. Both the laptop and my desktop are connected to the same router.

Yes, not even a Windows.old folder. Most obvious is the change in the Search box in File explorer, with a green 'Go' arrow R of typing area

I just installed the new version of windows 10...it was offered to me on the update manager...only took a few minutes...was surprised! In the past, it seemed to take much longer (say 30 minutes or so)... There is something you can type into the search bar that tells you which version you are running...use to know it, but have forgotten...could someone refresh my memory?

I wanted to check just to make sure i am running 1909.... Thanks...

No, it installs the same way as a CU. There's just the one small Enablement Package (KB4517245) that turns on the 1909 features and bumps the build up to 18363. It can be uninstalled just like a CU too...
