Oh I see. When it's happened to me I've been able to change it back.

I wonder if that's because of the peculier state that the Slow Ring is in. Maybe they are only allowing it to be changed to RP.

Installed on old HP dv6000. One shot.

I never time the install, takes forever.

Again, busy writing yesterday so just saw this now. Both test PCs -- Lenovo X380 Yoga and X220 Tablet -- were ready with a Restart message, having already downloaded and gotten through the GUI-based install portion. X380 is at 11% "Configuring update," while X220 Tablet is at 2%. The newer X380 is indeed MUCH faster than its older predecessor.
Will report back if issues present. Here we go again!

[PS Added 20 mins later] Both machines got through the upgrade, but the X380 is still losing its fingerprint scanner driver (Synaptics WBDI-SGX) during the process. Afterward, it comes up with a yellow exclamation point in DevMgr, easily remedied by updating drivers, then choosing the only item that shows up when I take the "Browse my computer for drivers" option. I've already reported this to Feedback hub and thought the last flight had fixed it. Apparently not -- either that, or it's back.

Also I see cc cleaner does not show Microsoft edge anymore

It always opens with defaults that MS in their infinite wisdom thought would be fine. It's like that since XP.

So yes, first time I have ever seen this Warnings screen, perhaps M$ are now covering themselves 'in case of' loss of user files and or property??.
Edit: Have not seen any loss of files, folders or programs. (touch wood)....will check Settings further..

Doesn't make sense. It seems like nothing is happening on SLOW RING at this time. So why would they insist an insider go to slow ring when things are happening on fast/skippy and release preview ring in prep for next release to public.
