This is an insider Fast Ring update. Yes it is safe to update from build 19008.1 to 19008.1000.

Didn't see this yesterday because I was busy writing. Saw it first thing this morning and got it installed on both Fast Ring test machines. They've fixed whatever issue was bollixing my Synaptics WBDI-SGX fingerprint reader on the X380 Yoga (for the previous 3 releases, it would come up with a yellow exclamation point in DevMgr, easily fixed by re-installing the driver from the local driver store). Went incredibly quickly, too: faster than the .449 CU on both test machines, in fact.

It is interesting to note that I have 4 computers on the Fast or Skippy ring. Two were offered this update to .1000 while two remain on .1 and are not being offered the update.
immediately after reporting to feedback hub, I was offered the download on these two computers.

Here we go around the MS Windows Lucky Dip.

I have noticed on a few of my PC's with Insider 19008 and this new 'Cumulative Update' that after the 'Getting things ready', Downloading a few times, Installing %%%%, a few PC's have hung on 99% and 100% Forever!

So I Shutdown PC and rebooted went to WU, and there she was the 'Install' Button (the real one), clicked on it and Update installed and reboots OK.

Another Identical PC and SSD breezes through it without fuss.

Just another day in MS paradise :)
