I cannot get any of these updates on my production machine, but I got the autopilot and the .NET Framework updates on my second machine. I really don't know what gives; I might try MS update Catalog.

UPDATE: This is what I got from executing the .msu from MS Update Catalog and the error message goes for both the SSU & CU updates on my production machine. Since the CU is optional, maybe I am just going to ignore it for now .

Do you have Windows Update service disabled?

No, I don't, but I use WAUM (Windows Update Automatic Manager), a little third-party app to manage Windows Updates. Even after temporarily disabling it, I still couldn't get the updates.

The 'Autopilot' update is mentioned in the other thread and appears to have been issued by mistake to many PCs. I uninstalled it and it hasn't been offered again.

It's being offered to me as an OPTIONAL update on Windows Update now. Why?
