I am now quite satisfied with this build after going through the lenglthy process of getting to this pointCumulative Update KB4526447 Windows 10 v1903 build 19002.1002 Oct. 18-virtualbox_windows-10-insider_18_10_2019_20_35_51.png

I am also quite satified with the results on the physical machine. I am running VMware Converter so I can copy a VM of the physical machine to Linux. This program is highly recommended and free. Of course for best results you need to shell out big time for VMware Workstation 15.5 but I believe you can still get a freeware version of VMware Player to play the VM.

When time came for restart it hang for 5 minutes on Restart, didn't have patience for it so I hit Reset button. It installed fast and now it shuts down and restarts without delay.
    I consider it a fix.

So this is a 'fix', so how long do we wait for this update to stay in 'Restarting Mode' (blue screen and spinning dots), 10 minutes an hour, or all day.
If this offends anyone then so be it, but after being a Windows user/owner since W95, I only have the same contempt for this once great company as they have for their 'dedicated' customers (Insider sheep) they say they value....what a joke.

EDIT: Well I take 25% of that back, 15 mins after (a still blue Restarting screen) then I Forced (Hold Down Power Button) Shutdown and then re-boot, this update finished it's installation.
And YES it appears to have fixed the Shutdown and Restarting problem, on 4 machines, 3 updated 1002 normally in reasonable time.
This update also fixed my issue on 1 PC where the SETTINGS click on in menu would not activate the Settings Home Screen.

Good luck all my fellow Rams.
    Same here...
Got it yesterday. Have to hit reset button (after 15 minutes of waiting), but system updated just fine.

    Restart is working fine now.

Fortunately I never had the problem but I've updated this morning. Really quick update for me.

    Edit: wait a minute ... I'l double-check.

Interesting - running Unigine Heaven benchmark in windowed mode - no performance hit but running it as usual - full screen makes it about 1/4th slower, although the GPU clocks are the same.

    Anyone willing to test this:

The thing is, with this and the last build, if I add a new entry to boot menu with bcdboot command, and boot once to it, my original main OS will be removed from boot menu.

Have you tried msconfig and [ ] Make all boot settings permanent? Maybe that could help.

Guys, in build 18990 was a bug with optional updates and printers drivers.
I still have this bug even they say that is fixed.
Anybody else have this bug in 19002?
    Thanks!

Windows Update wants to update the driver for my Epson printer on my desktop and my laptop. Hitting install I get a error.

Just getting 19002.1002 and restarting as of now.

Computer started fine; just took awhile to shut down before. Let's see what it does now.

I did manage to get both test machines upgraded to 19002.1. So far, WU is not offering the 19002.1002 CU. Will this come with time, or is it only offered to those who didn't succeed with the original 19002.1? I'm not sure I completely understand what's going on here. Thanks,
