On my #2 machine, after 4.5 hours got 19002.1 installed, using WU to the bitter end.
Unusual?? spent most of the time @ 7% downloading and then after the first restart Reverted.
Checked updates, error message about last attempt 0xc1900101 which has something to do with "provisioning"??
2nd attempt spent most of the time @ 7% again but finally installed.

Checked updates, installed 19002.1002 without issue.

After 24 hours of spinning ball,I did hard shutdown and then restarted computer. It actually completed install in a matter of seconds and I have 19002.1002. No problem on my other 3 computers.

This build is broken with DirectX 3D bug that cause low fps, see at https://www.reddit.com/r/windowsinsi...formance_with/

I tested few games like BFV trial, Battlefront 2, Project Cars and some racing games locked around 57-60fps most of times and I changes games settings nothing help.

No wonder why there is messed up by MS removed Nv 440.52 and WDDM 2.7 that left mess this build.

Update hung on restarting both times -- with 19002.1 and then later, with 19002.2001. Manually restarted each after waiting 15 minutes each time and update continue to completion without further issues.

Glad I found this thread...I just checked updates and opted to install. Got the blue "Restarting..." screen and animated / rotating icon about it...and it sat there. No joy after 15 mins. I held the power button and it *seemed* to shut off quickly - backlit keys on my XPS15 9560 shut off and machine seemed quiet - but when I restarted it got stuck on "Restarting..." again.

I read through this thread and this time held the power button down for about 15 secs and *then* powered up again. This time it worked, loading the BIOS first, etc. It seems that the initial "keys go dark after holding power button for 3 secs" doesn't really power down all the way. One more item to stash away in the back of my mind for the next time it hangs on restart (along with the last 18 years of Windows behavior paraphernalia I've learned the hard way and from good folks like you).

    Thanks all!
    Jon

Previous version had problems with restart and shutdown anyway, for some it refused to shutdown/restart at all but for me it was just very long time. Watch disk activity light and when it stops or subsides greatly you can force it to shut down or restart and should continue with installation. If you shut it too soon it will repeat installation again from beginning.
Last few updates were mostly maintenance builds. Should see it branch to Fast and Skippy soon.
