I have a desktop shortcut like this %windir%\System32\shutdown.exe -s -f -t 00 which works fine although it takes me over a minute to shut down.Hi Everyone,
As I remember..a few day's ago it seems as though I read somewhere on the 'net' that microsoft isn't really concentrating as much on the operating system like they used to, now it seems to have a lot more interest in the 'cloud'..such as storage for other large corporation's..etc. In turn they don't seem to be utilizing as many developer's as they did previously to help develop the operating system. And who in fact suffers...of course WE DO !! Now with that mouthful said, I guess I got up too early, or haven't had enough coffee yet, I can't seem to remember how to create a shortcut for a command prompt so as to (hopefully) be able to shut my computer down properly using this command that 'supposedly' works: shutdown /s /t 0 /f . I haven't even tried it yet to see if it actually does in fact function properly, as other's have stated..this update 'hung' at the restart screen forever, so I also performed a hard reset to finally get it to install. To be honest, I'm still considering installing the 'final stable' build that's supposed to be released to the public in november. Of course the bad side to doing so is I won't be able to save anything and have to start from scratch.
