But not intuitive to new Windows 10 users.
I use the right click method too, but I don't have to jump through the hoops you list when using Start:
I click on Start>Power Button>Shutdown (or Restart). That's it.
BTW, I teach my students both methods so they can make an intelligent choice.
Hi,
Not much buzz about 1909 in here.
As you'll have read, there's little change, and perhaps the biggest (explorer search) introduces a snag; it's delivered by way of a CU so no massive upgrade issues- were you expecting more?
Most likely due to it being 1903 with haircut and a new suit. "Basically" the same thing, new name (of sorts), All the 1909 "code" was slid in to 1903 over the course of a few weeks, and flipped on Nov. 12th thereabouts by this KB:
KB4517245 Feature Update via Windows 10 v1909 Enablement Package
Not much hoopla for the average user, some dev stuff under the covers.
Hi,
Just more chatter
But then again there is another pinned news thread to in here for issues known and solved with a little more action.
I've not installed it so just looking into it frankly see where it's at.
Finally a version which feels light on its feet and responsive like windows 7 on my sandy bridge laptop.
About time.
Hi there
I think the original expression was "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder",
I'm not a fan any more of that type of interface -- I find W10 perfectly OK provided you get rid of all the garbage tiles --as I've got Workstation pro there's almost zero bloat there to start with. I also like the optional "Dark" interface you can select when choosing themes.
Of course in all these things choice is always good to have --thank goodness there's loads of them now.

I've found / finding this version the most responsive yet -- my irritation though with W7 especially when we were using it at work was that (especially on Thur at going home time --I haven't work Fridays for years) !! it always just as I was logging off wanted to do zillions of updates !!!!
anyway to date this seems the absolute fastest version of Windows 10 so far installed -- Will try it again as a clean build and also as a VM.
Cheers
