I could not agree with you more. My understanding of an upgrade is to make things better, not worse. I have been through my fair share of bugs with each CUs or FUs. The worst is that sometimes one cannot even find a fix for them, or when a new patch is saying this or that issue has been fixed and in reality for a lot of us, that doesn't seem to be the case. Imagine the downtime that comes along...

Lastly, how is this new version is going to be named 1909; 1910; or 1911? If someone has the answer to that one...

So, they (MS) keep the same version's name even if it is being released in late November. In a way, that's good inasmuch as that will avoid some confusion...
