Installed it, Windows Defender was disabled upon reboot ...
Thanks, I don't use OneDrive, but a simple text search (e.g. n*.pdf) was ok. It was when I tried various Advanced Query Syntax searches I noticed the erratic disappearance of the cursor after a search to modify the search parameters. And the syntax was not highlighted in blue
E.g.
*ata* datecreated:15/9/19..23/9/19
then modify it- no cursor .. that sort of thing.
Could you confirm that if you type, e.g.
kind:
that that text is not highlighted in blue any more?
It's now just gotten flaky again!!!
Nothing, no cursor, no text, then moments later it's ok again?
So it may have had nothing to do with OneDrive..
Eventually I could type in *ata* datecreated:15/9/19..23/9/19
And it did the search but I could not edit it afterwards.
It instead took me to a list of my previous searches. I saw no blue

After a 1909 Clean install, I'm no longer seeing Defender Scan results in my right hand Notification's Window, either after a scheduled or manual scan, despite having Notification Settings 'ON' in both:
'Settings > Update & Security > Window Security > Virus & Threat protection Settings > Notifications'
and
'Settings > System > Notifications & actions'
![]()
Not even that. The code for 1909 was already in your 1903. A single small 'enablement package' was installed to turn it on.
