Getting the Windows 10 November 2019 Update Ready for Release Insider

As far as I'm concerned, the Insider Program became absurd and chaotic months ago. When it first started, it made some sort of sense, with Fast, Slow, and Release Preview rings that meant something. Then they added Skip Ahead, starting mixing things all around, combined Fast and Skippy at times, got out of sequence, released slightly different builds to people in the same ring, and the like.

Sorry if this has been asked before but since the 1909 is seen as a cumulative update, does this mean there won't be a 1909 ISO downloadable using the Media Creation Tool?

I assume after the release of 1909 there will be an ISO for MCT.

The ISO that the MCT makes isn't only updated on the release of a new version. The ISO for 1903 has already been updated several times since 1903 was released, from the initial 18362.30 build to (currently) 18362.356. I would expect the MCT to be updated to make a 1909 ISO as soon as (or shortly after) 1909 is released.

Considering the way CUs have been released recently, I'm wondering if those of us running 1903 might already effectively have 1909 and about all the upcoming CU will do is instruct winver to start reporting the fall version.

though MSDN users got the newer 1903 ISOs with build 18362.418 in late October 2019, Bree.

the updated MCT will definitely download the 1909 ESDs which will be converted by MCT into ISOs for 1909
