After such lengthy install I expected troubles but everything seems to be hanky-dory. System tests no problems and everything works, even restart and shutdown.

Using UUPDump iso took 30 minutes to install....Updating did not succeed.
    Conclusion....WIM works....UUP doesn't.

I've just been asked why I use diskcleanup

I also got a warning when doing the restart to complete the install that this update would take longer to finalise than normal which tbh I don't think it did noticeably although there were around 4 or 5 restarts.

And having run a disk cleanup and made a disk image I find this build is the largest of any in terms of real estate used.

I think the old disk cleanup is being deprecated and they are looking at why people are still using it.

After installing and doing my normal cleanup I tried to shut down the deskside system. I had no sign of the upgrade in History but everything else says 18999.1 I now have the hang on restarting and I had to hold in the power button in order to shut the system off. I removed all of the attached USB drives and was able to restart...but I was not able to shut down again.

Tonight I will try to reattach all the USB devices and try again. Glad other people have confirmed this situation. DFoes anyone have a work around?

Shut down and restart hangs solved by resetting my power plan from current, high performance to default and back to high perf. just verified. It works as advertised and the sleep/shut down times selected work for the time selected. I had this problem in several builds in he past and corrected it this way. FYI

Also, gadgets that worked with other builds still work even though MS says the were removed, the only gadget i have is flip clock. there is a built gadget repair tool in the main gadget app that will repair the program for your build. the repair program will launch automatically after windows removes the main gadget app. Risk, no idea.
