    Hi Brink,

I only got the first 2, without the Windows Defender Antivirus anti-malware platform update, is that OK for a non-insider?

The Defender platform update was actually issued a week ago, you probably got it back then as I did. Check the Definitions Updates section in your Update History.

    I'm currently on 1903 (18362.356), updated from 1803 a week ago.

I'm not seeing this update, should I be able to?

Due to my bad it took 3 hrs to update. When it started checking for updates I accidentally closed the window.
After that it said I was up to date. After running troubleshooter with no errors and resetting Windows Update it still said I was up to date. I did a manual update from the catalog and it updated to 18362.418 and it looked fine. WU said I was up to date but I was still missing 2 Office 2013 updates and the MRT update.

I pulled out my Macrium rescue USB and restored to 18362.388 which took 23 minuets.
After the restore WU worked OK and I got all my updates.

    Thank you Macrium.

You can close the window after you start the update, it has absolutely no effect at all. This is my standard procedure on all my machines. After I start the update I just close the whole settings app then open it later after the update is complete. Works perfectly.

Just got a Security Intelligence Update in my WU... whatever THAT is..?!

Oh wait, what?! The short answer for those who are in a hurry: Microsoft changed the name from Definition Update for Windows Defender Antivirus to Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus.
