    Hefty list, that!

Still, this mysterious issue still remains unresolved:

I will give it a pass for a week or two, methinks, and see how things pan out...

    According to Mr Born:

If you use Media Creation Tool (MCT) to download a Windows 10 install image, you will get now Windows 10 Version 1903 Build 18362.356

I updated and everything seems fine except for when I launch Chrome. I don't usually use Chrome but when I launch it the cpu starts going to max and my fans start revving. Seems to be related at least partly due to software reporter tool process which I think is related to chrome and which doesn't end when closing Chrome. Have to end task on it for the cpu to normalize. Chrome didn't do this before this update afaik.

Added: I reset the browser and now it seems fine.

I had three updates today and the beast is supposed to be up to date?
I guess they forgot this one? or maybe Australia is at the bottom of the list? :)

Software reporter tool is part of Chrome and runs every so often. It only takes a few minutes on mine but does hog the cpu. Your's is probably running on startup because you don't use Chrome very often.

    • Updates an issue that may prevent older systems from upgrading to the latest operating systems because a display driver error on older versions.

This is a BIG deal for me as I lose a LOT of time on each new version of Windows 10

Oh ok. I had started the browser maybe 10 times and let it sit for 3 minutes or so each time and it would just make the laptop go nuts (with 4 or 5 instances of the tool showing in process) and it didn't improve. Once i reset Chrome the software tool never appeared and the cpu spike stopped. I've never seen that before even when using it less.
