Is there anything about Windows 10 that Woody likes?

No. He prefers Chrome OS, iOS, any OS. But writes books and articles about Windows.

After this update, my nahimic launcher starts to show the user account control warning at start uo!

I woudner if it has anything to do with these`

Any one with any other audio driver or Nahimic is having this issue?
Similar issue with ASUS Sonic Studio 3 (and Sonic Radar 3):
Sonic Studio 3 UAC issue with latest Win 10 1903 update KB4517211 OS Build 18362.387

After many hours spent on this issue, I think it's caused by SS3Svc32.exe (exe version 3.6.42.50345) itself trying to re-create at launch every time the scheduler task "SS3svc32Run" (this action requires admin rights). ASUS or MS need to fix this.
In general, trying to run Sonic Studio 3 or Sonic Radar 3 now causes annoying UAC prompt asking for elevation (it's not a case them both launch "SS3Svc32.exe").

Might be a new bug in Task Scheduler...

I bet your machine was working fine before the update. If so, I would suggest to first make a system image backup (incremental or differential). Then block Windows from updating your drivers. After that, uninstall the update, reboot your machine and try to reinstall the update.

This is just a suggestion and defines what I would do if I were to face this issue.

    Hi,
I'm sure he likes his defcon creation that seems to have spawned from 10 updates to win-7

Not sure why people continuously post to his blog he is supposed to be a banned drama queen site.

I've had dot net 3.5 updated twice in the last couple of CUs. I don't (luckily) have any HP printers.

When a friend and I "RDP", we use Team Viewer. Haven't used it lately, but it's worked fine in the past.

This one still refuses to install on my clean install laptop and now when I run WU it shows no updates available so IDK what's going on here.

KB4517211 stops VMWare 12 and 14 from starting at all - Get "please check for updated version"
Older CPU's couldn't upgrade beyond VMWare 12 which wasn't an issue for me.
This update breaks that... Deleted update to allow VMware 12 to start..

    What a shamble...

    Welcome to TenForums, Bosman.

It's bad, Bosman, but you have to remember that it's up to the OEM to patch their software so it will work with Windows 10.

Looking at it logically, Microsoft cannot begin to compensate for all the OEMs that either cannot or will not update their software to work with the latest operating system.

Older CPU's couldn't upgrade beyond VMWare 12 which wasn't an issue for me.
There is that . . . however, Microsoft just cannot make Windows work on all the old hardware out there. I have some older systems I've built and would love to use them for test beds; although I can get Windows 10 installed, it's slower than molasses in January.

The bottom line is that there's a time to hold 'em and a time to fold 'em. If I can't afford to upgrade and my old dinosaur will still take Windows 10, I have to bite the bullet and deal with a slow machine. Until I can scrape up enough money to upgrade.

Is this the 'last' cumulative update until 1909 comes out? I have heard a rumor that it comes out on October 3rd. If so I will just wait until patch tuesday, or if the rumor is true, October 3rd.
